I wish I could say I was surprised

I wish I could say this shocked me in some way, unfortunately it doesn't. What is worse is that I am sure that there are many Americans who simply would not care even if Bush came out and said "Yes, we had it planned from the start, and we were going to find one reason or another to do it." There are plenty of people in this country who simply don't care what Bush does wrong. They would support him no matter what he said. If he came out and said he has lied about everything so far, their response would be "Well, he was honest with us. He had the guts to admit it. What a guy." The more disturbing part about all of this is I can guarantee that these are the same people who wanted to string up Clinton for lying about an affair... and his lie didn't kill anybody.

Am I saying that Clinton should have lied? Nope. What I am saying is if we are going to pitch a fit about lies from the president, lets do it right. Consider the degree of a lie. If Clinton’s lie was worth an impeachment, and demands that he be removed from office, where does a lie that kills thousands of people, and compromises national security and foreign relations fall on the scale?

Exactly, it has nothing to do with right and wrong. It is about personal politics, which historically has nothing to do with ethics or even reality.

Another thing that came as no shock? I have yet to find mention of this here. But hey, maybe that just means I am not typing my search in correctly at their site because (of course) they are "fair and balanced".
